Microsoft plans to launch the first major update to Windows 11 later this year. But there are also hints that some people will give this in February. The update, codenamed "Sun Valley 2", is expected to be updated with the new Task Manager, improvements to the Start Menu and Taskbar, and more.

The first update of the year will start with Windows 11 version 22H2, which is essentially based on the current version of Windows 11. However, it will be offered as a full-featured update rather than an activation package. It's not a huge update, but Microsoft has already confirmed that the update has a number of quality improvements.

01) Task Manager.

As we mentioned, one of the significant changes in Sun Valley 2 is the introduction of the new Task Manager.

As part of a major update, Task Manager gets a new design based on Fluent UI and WinUI. Still, it shows existing information such as Processes, Performance, Startup apps, Users, Details, and services

Unlike the existing Task Manager, the redesigned app uses a new sidebar or hamburger menu to display processes and performance options. This makes Task Manager easily accessible on touch screen devices.

Additionally, the top bar of the Task Manager now displays the brand name and name of the device, its format (if any), a picture of the device, and the values used by the CPU or RAM. We have another article about this in Worldinova One TechTalk

02) Natural Narrator Voices

Introducing More Natural Narrator Voices For Microsoft Narrator. This allows users to browse the web, and read and enjoy post-editing.

Microsoft says the new Narrator Voices will be up-to-date, using text to speech and, once downloaded, supported without an Internet connection.

03) New flyout design.

Microsoft is updating the flyout design for hardware indicators, and the media control that appears on the lock screen when performing media controls on a supported application also gets a new look.

Interestingly, the media controls will use a dark theme to complement the rest of the Lock Screen visual style.

04) Drag And Drop.

Drag-and-drop is a feature that was present in Windows 10 but not in Windows 11. But this will restore that feature in the rest of the update

05) New snapping experience

Microsoft has updated the instant app window resizing experience by placing the corresponding application icon above the acrylic background. Take a few windows with the help of snap, recreate the broken window layout using the buffer and see how the other broken windows go out of focus.

06) Windows System For Android

As you already know, windows eleven computers have the ability to run the Android app. But there is a situation where this is not available to all users. With this new update, this too will be available to all users. We have published a full article on this at Worldinova one TechTalk.

07) How to get this update.

You can already get this from the dev channel through the windows insider platform. But many commentators say the update will be available in mid or late February this year.
